Halle Bailey and DDG have been surrounded by breakup rumors lately. This came just weeks after they went on their first family vacation with their baby boy. The couple’s relationship is allegedly over, or about to be.
In February 2023, Rubi Rose, DDG’s ex-girlfriend, posted screenshots on social media that revealed he recently slid into her DMs. According to HotNewHipHop, the private messages showed DDG asking Rubi what she was doing, and if she was still in Los Angeles.
At the time, Rubi tweeted that DDG was upset that she didn’t want to go home with him after they supposedly attended a party together. Despite the drama with his ex, DDG denied the allegations and was able to work things out with Halle.

The couple welcomed their son, Halo, late last year. It seemed like everything was fine until a few weeks ago. HotNewHipHop reported that DDG was recently interviewed by VladTV. In the interview, he exposed so many unexpected details about his past toxic behavior.
During the last half of the interview, DDG confessed that he actually had messaged Rubi last year. He explained that he had sent the message to his ex while he and Halle were in an argument.
DDG added that Halle not only saw the message, but she also watched him send it to Rubi. However, he claimed that he had only DM’d his ex because he was mad at Halle. He admitted that what he did was petty, but he supposedly was never interested in actually reconnecting with his ex.
The Couple Unfollowed Each Other on Social Media
If that wasn’t messy enough, later in the interview, DDG talked about how he had reportedly convinced Rubi to start selling her adult content online. He also said that every woman should sell adult content because, in his opinion, it’s an extremely smart business move.
Only a few days after those problematic parts of the interview were uploaded to DJ Vlad’s YouTube channel, some of Halle’s Instagram followers noticed a very telling sign. One person posted a thread about it on Lipstick Alley, where they pointed out that Halle and DDG were no longer following each other on social media.

The author of the thread also revealed that Halle and DDG deleted almost every photo featuring each other from their Instagram profiles. A source claiming to be a friend of the couple told Media Takeout that they had supposedly broken up.
The insider explained that their relationship suffered when they went from going on carefree vacations to becoming new parents. The source said that while the change had “taken a toll” on them both, DDG just “wasn’t ready for all the responsibility.”
Halle was recently spotted at Coachella without DDG, which only added fuel to the breakup rumors. But according to TMZ, Halle’s reps have since released a statement claiming that the couple is still in a relationship.
However, there have been plenty of signs lately that point to trouble in paradise for Halle and DDG. His recent interview brought the couple’s personal matters to light. It also stirred up past drama regarding his private messages to Rubi. For now, we’ll just have to wait for Halle or DDG to speak out about the state of their relationship.
