A teacher was found almost naked in the backseat of a car with a minor.
According to KLKN, a local Nebraskan news station, police were responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle when they found the teacher.
This occurred on April 13th on Saturday morning.
Witnesses saw a suspicious vehicle parked at a dead end near North 189 Street in Douglas County.
They called the police, who arrived and noticed two people in the backseat of the car, which was a gray 2015 Honda Pilot SUV.
Police Chased Nude Teacher and Minor
As the two police officers approached the car, one of them rushed to the driver’s seat and started the car, driving off.

Later, the police would identify the driver as the victim.
The police got in their cars and chased after them.
The driver ended up crashing the car into someone’s front yard about two blocks from where they were spotted and then got out of the car.
They were naked at the time and ran away from the car.
One of the police officers chased the person on foot.
It took about an hour for the police to chase and find the individual.
By the time they caught up with the person, they had managed to put on a t-shirt, socks, and a pair of boxers.
The police identified the person as a 17-year-old male.
The other officer approached the backseat of the car where the other person was still sitting.
They noticed that this person was putting on clothes.
Police were able to identify her as 45-year-old Erin Ward.

Shocking Details the Police Discovered
If finding an older woman with a minor in a car together wasn’t bad enough, police discovered even more worrying details.
While searching the car, the police found an Omaha Public Schools employee ID.
Erin confirmed that she worked as a substitute teacher at Omaha Burke High School and other schools in the metro area.
The police discovered that the 17-year-old victim was a student at Burke High School, and they had met there while she was teaching.

Erin also confirmed that she and the minor had been intimate together before.
Both were given treatment since they sustained some injuries during the crash.
The victim also received treatment for injuries he received during the foot chase.
Erin has been charged with one count of felony sexual abuse by a school employee.
The investigation into Erin and the car chase is still ongoing.
