Savannah Chrisley and her boyfriend Robert Shiver have been together since September 2023. They recently appeared in public together for the first time when they attended an event for Melodies For Minds in February. It was there that Savannah opened up about her relationship to People, and shared how she really felt about the new man in her life.
She described their relationship as being fantastic. The reality star said that it’d been great, and everything was awesome. She also talked about how having him in her life was a silver lining during the difficult moment that she was going through.

Her parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley have been in prison for over a year now. They were sent there for fraud and tax evasion, with Todd having to serve a 10-year sentence, and Julie a six-year one.
Savannah explained that she was doing her best to look at the positives in her life. She shared that sometimes life would throw curveballs. That stuff sucked, but she had to make the best out of it.
Then she added that some of the most unexpected, greatest gifts came in the worst of times. So that was how she viewed it.
Savannah Is in a Happy Place Right Now
But this wasn’t the first time that Savannah opened up about her new relationship and how happy she is in it. After a month of dating, she told People that she was just so grateful to have such an amazing person in her life, who showed up and loved and cared and was a positive influence on the kids. The kids were her two younger siblings, Grayson and Chloe, whom Savannah was looking after while her parents were doing time.
She went on to say that she was in such a happy place in life, despite all of the negative things that had happened. Savannah’s new romance had shown her that she could find beauty in the ashes, and so for that, wherever it led, she was forever grateful.

At the start of the new year she once again talked about how things were going with Robert on her podcast Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley. In an interview with her older brother Chase, the 26-year-old shared some private details about her relationship.
The Daily Mail reported that she opened up about the unusual name that she’d assigned her 38–38-year-old boyfriend on her cell phone. In a conversation with Chase about their love lives, Savannah revealed that he was saved as Robert Daddy Schiver. She insisted that it was funny.
She told her brother that it all started from a joke that was trending on Instagram at the time and that she was not one of those females who was like- ‘Oh Daddy!’ Savannah went on to explain that even just the thought of calling Robert Daddy made her want to puke. Chase said that he felt in a similar way to his sister, that he was physically ill seeing that name on her phone.
Todd Doesn’t Want to Meet Robert Yet
When speaking to Entertainment Tonight back in November, Savannah talked a little about what her parents thought of her new partner. Her mom was especially excited to meet Robert. Savannah explained that she’d sent her pictures of them and that she’d heard all the stories, so she was vicariously living through her.
However, when it came to her dad, she revealed that he wasn’t as thrilled about the idea of meeting Robert just yet. Not because he didn’t approve of his daughter’s new love.
According to her, Todd was against it just because he didn’t want Robert to see him in the atmosphere and the environment of prison. Savannah said that she felt like it was more a male pride type of thing.
She finished by saying that she didn’t know if her dad would change his mind, but that hopefully things would go in their favor and her parents would be home sooner than later. In the ET interview, Savannah also shared that she really missed being able to have conversations with her father about her relationships.
She reportedly used to enjoy sharing all the information about how things were going with her boyfriends. Savannah really hoped that she could do that again one day. She explained that she longed for those kinds of conversations, to tell him all the amazing things that were happening within her relationship, and how awesome Robert was.
How he’d responded to certain situations; how he had responded to situations in her life was something that she’d always wanted. She added that they both were very similar, she felt as if he was like the male version of her.
Someone Hired a Hitman on Robert
Like Savannah, Robert has also been through some extremely challenging situations in recent years. According to WDHN, his ex was allegedly involved in a plot to hire a hitman to take his life. Lindsay Shiver was reportedly planning the crime with her alleged lover in the Bahamas after Robert had filed for a divorce.
Local police discovered the pair’s plot while attempting to solve a different crime. Lindsay and two other men were arrested in July 2023 in Guana, where she and Robert shared a holiday home. In January, WDHN reported that Lindsay claimed that her ex wasn’t allowing her to see their 3 sons.

She’d been allowed to return from the Bahamas to her parent’s house in Alabama in late 2023. So, she filed a motion in the Superior Court of Thomas County, Georgia that accused Robert not only of preventing her from seeing the children but also of keeping their whereabouts from her. She said that apart from a Facetime call on Christmas day, she’d not seen or heard from her kids at all.
While speaking about Robert in her interview with People, Savannah shared that she wanted to have as much respect for him and his situation as possible. Because he had three amazing little boys that were going to have to see and hear things one day.
