Kim Kardashian was reportedly obsessed with the idea of having a baby with Odell Beckham Jr. before they broke up. Apparently, she’s wanted to have another child for a while now and hoped it would happen sooner rather than later.
But why exactly is Kim in such a hurry to have her fifth kid? The different reasons she’s allegedly determined to have more children are honestly shocking, so let’s break them down.
Kim and Odell just called it quits, and the timing of their split couldn’t be any more bizarre. A source recently told Life & Style that Odell and Kim’s relationship ended because “they’re at different places in life” right now.
But only a few days earlier, Kim had allegedly been making very serious plans for their future together. According to what another insider revealed to Life & Style, Kim was ready to take a huge leap in her relationship. Even though they had only been dating for six months, she was supposedly in love with the idea of him being the father of her fifth baby.
The source added that even before Kim started dating Odell, she wanted to have another kid via surrogate. But she reportedly didn’t want to wait any longer.
Kim Wants to Have a Baby Before Kanye and Bianca
The reason why she hoped Odell would agree to start the process right away was absolutely insane. The insider claimed that Kim wasn’t about to waste time because she didn’t want Kanye and Bianca to have a baby before her.
Obviously, that’s not a good reason to have a child with someone, especially just six months into the relationship. But that wasn’t even the craziest part of Kim’s plan.
Believe it or not, she was allegedly so fixated on having a child with Odell because of his amazing genetics. The source explained that Kim hadn’t been able to stop thinking about “how beautiful their baby would be.”
We all know that Kim places a lot of importance on physical appearances, but this seems low, even for her. Wanting to bring a life into the world for such a superficial reason just seems super shallow. But that’s not the only detail that proves that her motives for wanting a baby with Odell were extremely selfish.
The insider also told Life & Style that Kim had already frozen her eggs. All she really had to do was get Odell on board with the idea of having a child together.
She was so desperate to start the process that she was willing to do whatever it took to convince him. Kim was reportedly even prepared to persuade Odell by offering him an impressive amount of cash.
They ended up splitting a few days after Kim’s plan to have a baby with him went public. It seems pretty clear that he wasn’t interested in going along with it.
Kourtney Accused Kim of Being a Narcissist
However, just because Odell is no longer in the picture doesn’t mean Kim is going to completely give up hope. It’s no secret that she always wants to win. It’s definitely possible that she’ll still try to have another baby before Kanye and Bianca have one.
But even if that didn’t matter to Kim, she still supposedly wants more kids for all the wrong reasons. Kourtney and Kim have always been insanely competitive against each other because of how often they were compared to one another as kids.
But their dynamic has gotten really tense over the years. How it’s resulted in Kim wanting more children is honestly crazy.

Kim’s extreme need to one-up Kourtney seems to apply to every area of their lives – even the number of kids they have. She used to be content with having four children, probably because she had the most out of all of her sisters. But a couple of years ago, that unexpectedly changed.
In April 2022, Access Hollywood interviewed Kim, with her mom and sisters ahead of the series premiere of The Kardashians. At that point in time, Kourtney was engaged to Travis and they were trying for a baby. It would be her fourth kid.
Interestingly, Kim started dropping hints during the interview that she wanted to have two more children in the future, putting her total at six. But aside from her constantly having to one-up Kourtney, there’s another purely selfish reason why she apparently wants more kids.
Kim Seems Focused on Profiting From Her Kids
Kim is seemingly obsessed with being super wealthy and famous. Staying relevant is incredibly important to her, and she’ll do whatever it takes to gain attention from the media. What better way to consistently make headlines than to announce a major life update, like the arrival of a baby?
Unfortunately, narcissistic parents usually see their children as extensions of themselves, not as their own people. Kim has already established multiple trademarks under her kids’ names so that they can launch brands and product lines more easily in the future. Even if that might seem like a smart business move on her part, it’s unbelievably telling.
If Kim wasn’t so focused on making money off her kids, she wouldn’t be planning out every potential way they could expand her empire. But clearly, she’s more concerned about associating her children with her brands, so they can ultimately carry on her legacy.
If other parents were in Kim’s shoes, the majority of them would most likely make completely different choices. Why would anyone want to essentially push their kids down a specific career path, especially before they even start school and learn valuable lessons about life?
Kim has more than enough money and resources to create a healthier environment for her children. Instead of giving them the time to figure out who they are, she’s already setting them up to run certain lines, like skincare and fashion.
But the full extent of how she’s exploiting her kids for her own benefit is truly disturbing. Kim could easily pay for extra security to help protect her children, but she’s never respected their right to privacy. She treats them like accessories and uses them to promote her brands like marketing tools, not actual human beings.
North Is an Influencer at the Age of 10
Kim has been forcing North into the spotlight since she was a baby. She continues exposing her to adult situations at way too young of an age. There’s no good reason why she should be taking her 10-year-old to highly-publicized events, like the Met Gala.
But by treating her kids like they’re mini adults, Kim is benefiting in an absolutely insane way. Kim allowed North to join TikTok a couple of years ago, despite how much inappropriate content is accessible on the app.

Now, she posts just like a teen or young adult influencer would and has never really known what it’s like to just be a child. But since her account is technically her mom’s as well, Kim can easily promote her brands and stay relevant.
It wouldn’t be surprising at all if Kim follows her mom’s lead and decides to be her children’s manager. That way, she’ll be entitled to a certain percentage of their earnings, and she’ll be able to schedule and book them for whatever gigs and appearances she chooses.
Kim Doesn’t Seem to Be an Involved Parent
From Kim’s selfishness and her fixation on appearances to her narcissistic behavior and tendencies, she doesn’t seem to want to have more kids for the right reasons at all. But her allegedly wanting to rush into having a baby with Odell was seriously alarming.
Kim wanted to have a baby as quickly as she could, but she also didn’t actually seem to enjoy being an involved parent. She probably shouldn’t add another child to the mix, at least not yet, since she’s barely able to be present with the kids she already has.
The amount of time she sets aside each day to spend time with them is downright shocking. According to what a source revealed to The U.S. Sun, Kim tries to give each of her children 15 minutes of one-on-one time with her a day. But even though that’s such a small amount of quality time, sometimes her schedule is too packed to make it happen.
Kim has plenty of money, so she doesn’t have to constantly be working. But instead of taking more time off to spend with her kids, she chooses to be away from home so that she can make even more money she doesn’t need.
As a result, Kim’s children are basically being raised by a team of nannies. She doesn’t discipline them, has no control over them, and honestly, doesn’t even seem to have genuine connections with them. How can she possibly think it’s a good idea to have more kids?
Kim doesn’t seem to care at all about the negative impact her lack of involvement has had and will continue to have, on her children. She’s really just concerned about staying relevant and rich, which sadly means having more kids to exploit and treat like props.
