Raven Wales-Walden, who worked as a nanny for Diddy’s children, accused him of firing her for a ridiculous reason. In a startling lawsuit filed against him, she claimed that he terminated her employment with him because she was pregnant.

So what exactly happened with Raven’s firing, as well as her lawsuit against Diddy? The details surrounding their insane court battle and the real reason she lost her job are honestly crazy.

According to TMZ, Raven filed a lawsuit against Diddy in September 2022. In her filing, she used the pseudonym ‘Jane Doe’ and explained that she had formerly worked as a nanny for Diddy’s children. However, she accused him of wrongfully terminating her employment.

Raven claimed that she had originally been hired in September 2018 as an assistant to the late Kim Porter. When Kim passed away, Diddy asked Raven to start working as a full-time nanny for Jessie and D’Lila, the twin daughters he and Kim had welcomed in 2006.

But that wasn’t all. What he wanted her to do next was seriously surprising. In Raven’s filing, she wrote that Diddy asked her to move into his house so that it would be easier for her to take care of D’Lila and Jessie. She agreed to move in, but she had no idea what living under Diddy’s roof would really entail.

When Diddy asked Raven to work as a full-time nanny, she thought she’d be responsible for caring for his daughters for 40 hours a week, or maybe a little bit more. But she said in her lawsuit that he actually expected her to be on the job around the clock. Raven revealed that she ended up taking care of Jessie and D’Lila 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Raven Was Fired Before Her Maternity Leave

According to Radar Online, in August 2020, Raven told Diddy that she was expecting a baby and would eventually need to take maternity leave. She claimed that he got extremely angry and ultimately fired her in January 2021, before her leave began.

But what she discovered shortly after she was let go was honestly mind-blowing. Raven claimed that after she was fired, a third party told her the real reason Diddy had terminated her. He reportedly believed that Raven wasn’t “a good example for his daughters,” because she wasn’t married when she became pregnant.

In her wrongful termination lawsuit, Raven accused Diddy of discriminating against her pregnancy as well.

The amount of money she was seeking in damages from him wasn’t specified. Apparently, Diddy suspected that’s all Raven was after in the first place.

When Diddy spoke out about Raven’s lawsuit against him, he said it was a “meritless shakedown.” He also claimed that her sole intention was to manipulate the truth to get a massive payout from him.

At the time, many online reports claimed that the unnamed woman who filed the lawsuit was the niece of the late Kim Porter. But according to Radar Online, when Diddy responded to the wrongful termination accusations, he also exposed some identifying details about Raven.

Diddy denied that the ‘anonymous woman’ was Kim’s niece. He then revealed that her first name was Raven.

Raven Was Allegedly Only Part-Time

He also attempted to shut down the allegations she’d made in her lawsuit by having his rep share his side of the story. His account was completely different than Raven’s.

Diddy said that Raven had just been Jessie and D’Lila’s babysitter. He stated that she only worked part-time, not around the clock as she claimed.

He also made himself sound so gracious for allowing her to continue working for the family after Kim passed away. Diddy explained that he wanted to provide some constancy for the twins after their mother’s passing. This was why he offered Raven the role of their “part-time babysitter.”

In the statement released by Diddy’s rep, it was revealed that Diddy supposedly never asked Raven to move in. He claimed that she had actually made the request and asked for her son to move in as well.

What reportedly happened next was seriously bizarre. Diddy’s rep said that even though it wasn’t necessary, Diddy allowed Raven and her son to live under his roof. He even allegedly “treated them like family.”

Then, he mentioned that her role as D’Lila and Jessie’s babysitter was never meant to be a permanent position. Diddy’s rep explained that Raven supposedly knew all along that her job as the twin’s babysitter was intended to be temporary. He added that Jessie and D’Lila were getting to the age where they would be at school for the majority of the day anyway, so there really was no need for Raven to continue staying at the house all day.

Raven Had Filed Under the Name “Jane Doe”

According to Radar Online, in March 2023, the court battle between Diddy and Raven got even more intense. She had been using the pseudonym ‘Jane Doe’ throughout the case, but that was about to change.

Diddy requested that the court require Raven to reveal her actual name and stop allowing her to be listed under a pseudonym in her lawsuit.

Raven begged the judge overseeing their legal fight to allow her name to remain anonymous. Raven claimed that Diddy’s demand that her name be disclosed was just his attempt to retaliate against her for filing her lawsuit. She said that as a result, she and her underage son would most likely end up being subjected to victim shaming from Diddy’s fans as well.

Raven also revealed that after Diddy initially fired her, she begged him for her job back. She explained that he had allegedly promised that he would continue providing her and her son with health insurance, which she added was “much-needed” at the time.

However, Raven claimed that Diddy went back on his word. Both she and her child were left without any health insurance. But what happened next was honestly unreal.

Later that same month, Radar Online reported that the judge decided to rule in Diddy’s favor, at least in his request for Raven’s name to be released. Apparently, she had used her real name in a formal complaint that she’d filed with the Department of Fair Education and Housing. The court felt that she should use her legal name in her lawsuit as well.

The Lawsuit Was Eventually Dropped

According to The Source, in April 2023, Raven amended her lawsuit to include her real name. She added that even though she wasn’t legally Kim’s niece, she had a close bond with Kim before she passed. She explained that she had played a very significant role in Jessie and D’Lila’s lives as well.

Diddy clearly didn’t feel any sympathy for her, based on what he did the following month.

In May 2023, Radar Online revealed that Diddy asked the judge to completely dismiss Raven’s lawsuit against him. According to paperwork obtained by the outlet, he also said that the real reason Raven’s position had been terminated was totally different from what she had alleged.

Diddy claimed that he actually fired Raven because she simply hadn’t carried out the duties of her job. He explained that she had reportedly failed to “conduct herself in accordance with the standards and policies” of his business.

Diddy added that his decision to terminate Raven was made “in good faith” and was in no way discriminatory. He said that he had paid her for multiple days that he never should have owed her any compensation for because she hadn’t been performing her work responsibilities.

Even though the lawsuit wasn’t dismissed right away, as Diddy requested, it was eventually dropped in a very unexpected way. According to MyNewsLA, at the beginning of April 2024, Raven’s lawyer asked the judge to dismiss her filing “with prejudice.” This meant that it technically could never be brought to court again.

However, the court documents obtained by the outlet didn’t clarify whether Raven and Diddy had privately reached a financial settlement. Her reasons for wanting the lawsuit dropped altogether also weren’t specified in the paperwork. Unfortunately, unless Raven decides to publicly speak out, we might never know what actually happened.
