On March 12th, The U.S. Sun reported that 25-year-old Garrison Brown of Sister Wives was “gone too soon.” Garrison was laid to rest on the weekend after his tragic passing at home in Flagstaff, Arizona last week.

Entertainment Tonight reported on a video posted online by Garrison’s half-sister, Mykelti Padron, the daughter of Kody Brown and one of his “ex-wives,” Christine Brown. Mykelti had been at Garrison’s funeral and shared details through her tears.

Mykelti said, “I was in Flagstaff last week with my husband and all of my family. It was for obvious reasons. My brother passed away.” But Mykelti claimed she was trying to be positive and was happy to see the whole family together “for the first time in years.”

Mykelti added, “I think that ultimately, obviously, Garrison would have been happy by that.”

Garrison passed away on March 5th. The Sun spoke exclusively to a source who claimed that Janelle Brown, Garrison’s mother, was so “angry & numb” about his loss that she could barely function.

Garrison’s Cousin, Emma, Shared a Tribute on Instagram

Garrison’s full name was Robert Garrison Brown. His cousin, Emma Brown, called him by his first name in a heartbreaking Instagram message posted on Saturday, March 9th. Emma wrote, “Dear Robert, I had to dress up for your funeral today and this is everything I wish you could’ve heard before I had to say goodbye.”

Her message continued, “We love you. I don’t even own a picture of you without your contagious smile. I don’t know if I have the right words to say I’ll miss you.”

Emma shared throwback photos of Garrison with his gigantic grin and wrote that she wished she could hug him and tell him how much he was loved. Emma admitted that Garrison was “human” and “had flaws,” but never once doubted her friendship with her cousin. She wrote, “I’ll always cherish the times I got to spend with you.”

Emma sadly revealed that she “only made it to one” of the many backpacking trips she’d planned to go on with Garrison. She talked about the random things she would miss, like Garrison’s goofy jokes, their coffee runs, and the dinners they shared.

Emma remembered watching movies with her cousin and when he let her “put messy face masks all over” their faces. Her emotional message ended by calling Garrison “a son, a brother, a soldier, and a friend.” Emma sadly wrote, “If there is a god I hope he’s giving you peace. I love you, Robert.”

The Family Plans to Honor Garrison’s Memory in the Coming Months

After posting her emotional video last week, Mykelti also wrote a tribute to Garrison on her social media. While she wrote that her heart was breaking for Garrison, Mykelti said she rejoiced “knowing that [Garrison] was with his fellow warriors in Valhalla drinking and fighting with Odin.”

Mykelti described Garrison as “always the funniest person in the room” and “one cool dude.” She finished her tribute by saying, “Have fun up with the stars, little bro. You’re missed.”

The Sun claimed it had “exclusively obtained the police report” surrounding Garrison’s passing. The document contained details of what Janelle said when she arrived at the shocking scene.

Allegedly, Janelle told police officers that Garrison “just stopped texting last night.” Sadly, the document also alleges that Janelle said she “should have gotten Garrison help in the past as well.”

Janelle reportedly told the police that Garrison was “estranged from his father.” His brother, Gabriel—referred to as Gabe in the police report—allegedly told police that Garrison had been “struggling.”

Flagstaff police also obtained statements from Garrison’s roommates, Cheyenne, Addison, and Tyler. Addison allegedly told police that Garrison was “depressed lately,” and claimed that Garrison was drinking “every night.”

The police report stated that Addison knew Garrison was “having problems with his ex-girlfriend and that he was not a very happy person.” Still, Addison didn’t think there were any red flags indicating self-harm in Garrison’s words or actions.

In her video, Mykelti discussed how the Brown family will honor Garrison’s memory. She said things are being planned to honor Garrison in the coming months. Mykelti also revealed an upcoming “Brown family reunion” in Wyoming, and she said, “A lot of my family, most of them, are going to honor him.”
